Make these crispy, tender hot honey salmon bites in under 30 minutes! Sweet, spicy, and perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs salmon (approximately 4 fillets), skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup (85 g) hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the salmon

Start by cutting your salmon into 1-inch cubes. This size is ideal for cooking evenly in the air fryer. If you’re working with frozen salmon, make sure it’s completely thawed and patted dry—this helps the seasoning stick better.

Step 2: Season the bites

In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon bites and gently toss to coat. Make sure every piece gets a good coating of the seasoning—you want all that flavor in every bite!

Step 3: Air fry to perfection

Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (about 3-5 minutes). Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the basket. Don’t overcrowd them, or they won’t cook evenly (trust me, I learned this the hard way). Cook for 9-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The salmon should reach an internal temperature of 140-145°F when done.

Step 4: Make the hot honey glaze

While the salmon cooks, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the hot honey and let it warm through for a minute or two. Turn off the heat once it’s blended—it’s that simple!

Step 5: Toss and serve

Once the salmon is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and pour the hot honey glaze over the top. Gently toss to coat, being careful not to break apart the salmon bites. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

These hot honey salmon bites look stunning on a platter, especially with a sprinkle of fresh parsley. For a casual dinner, serve them over fluffy white rice or quinoa with a side of roasted vegetables. If you’re hosting a party, they make fantastic finger food—just stick a toothpick in each bite for easy grabbing. You could also serve them on skewers with chunks of pineapple or bell pepper for a colorful, tropical twist.
